'ഹുക്കുമത്ത് വ അഹ്കം' (Humiliation), ആത്മാഭിമാനം, ധാർമ്മിക യുക്തി (Moral Reason) തുടങ്ങിയ ആശയങ്ങളെ മുൻനിർത്തി അദ്ദേഹം രചിച്ച 'The Cracked Mirror', 'Experience, Caste, and the Everyday Social' (സുന്ദർ സരുക്കൈക്കൊപ്പം) എന്നീ ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങൾ ഇന്ത്യൻ രാഷ്ട്രീയ ചിന്താരംഗത്ത് വളരെ പ്രശസ്തമാണ്.
